Bah Humbug

Ebenezer Scrooge uses this phrase in reference to Christmas... well I'M using it to reference Wednesdays.

Is it possible that Wednesdays can out-do Mondays as far as being the worst day of the week!? Today sure felt like a Monday x10. I won't go into detail, but good grief it was a domino effect! It was one thing after another it seemed.

Sometimes days like this unfortunately make you ponder all the other things in life that may or may not be so perfect, so it was pretty neat that I stumbled across this on Pinterest this afternoon!

What perfect timing that I happened to find this! I think it was fate, i'm sure of it. Sometimes you just need a little reminder.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Deep breathe.

Wooooooo-sahhhhhhh!

Aaaand i'm happy again. :)

Parlez Vous Francais?

I have been putting a lot of my to-do list items on the back-burner lately (see list here), and it's making me a little grumpy and disappointed. Yes, i've been eating plenty of slacker-jacks lately. It doesn't mean that I don't WANT to complete the things on my to-do list, it just means that there are other things higher on my priority scale... like sitting on the couch watching reruns of every MTV show you can think of.

Here's an update:

-I started my first sewing class, and am signing up for another one with my cousin Sophia at a local craft store in a few weeks. I should be finishing my yellow button dress shortly.

-As far as investing in a new camera... I made a slight variation. Instead of a camera, I'm changing it to an ipad, for obvious reasons... and that ipads are totally way cooler. (And I already have a pretty-ok camera!)

-I have hundreds of recipes that i've written down, printed, stolen from my grandma's recipe box that I have yet to organize into my own personalized cook&bake book.

-The 1st on my list was to "Learn some french". This one has been the most difficult for me, even though it is the one I want to successfully complete and check-off the most!

I've bought and borrowed a few books, as well as downloaded some free podcasts off iTunes. The podcasts have been very helpful, and now when someone asks, "Parlez vous Francais, Samantha?" I CAN REPLY......but sadly admit, "Non, je ne parle pas Francais" (No I don't speak french) or I suppose I could say "Oui, oui" but that would get me in a little bit of trouble don't you think? Le sigh...

I only have a few weeks left of summer to complete this to-do list!

Or else!

Stay tuned.

Bon nuit, amis.
