As stated on Merchant's website, they are a "casual farm-to-table restaurant, craft cocktail bar and ingredient emporium". They house the freshest and finest local and international products. The classy ambience of the place made me feel a bit under-dressed... but then again, it was a Tuesday night and I didn't know what to expect!
The cost per cocktail is a bit pricier than most Madison restaurants, but my $9.00 beverage was well worth it. My drink of choice was "The Regret". Let me tell you, the only thing I regret about this drink was the fact that I didn't get two of them!
THE REGRET
{Death’s Door Vodka + Rosemary Demerara Syrup + Lime Juice}
The bartender lights the rosemary on fire so you get the scent of it with every sip! Like I said, this is a classy, classy joint.
One last thing: I had an unexpected pick-me-up when I went to use the bathroom...

I highly, highly recommend this place, and if you're LUCKY, my cousin just might be your server. :) If you're in Madison, or planning a visit, you will definitely want to check this place out.
