Sooo, you know how there's "crazy cat ladies", or extreme dog lovers? I am pretty sure I have a fish fanatic on my hands.
Since Ryan and I became official pet owners on Saturday, November 19th (write that down) to a lovely, Crown-Tail Beta fish... he has become... different.
He talks to it.
He plays with him.
He named it Gordon Bombay (Mighty Ducks reference).
He now wants to work at Pet Smart and be the Beta fish expert.
Our $5.99 fish has cost us a bit over $75. The food is nothing but the best (blood worms - gross). Basically it's the filet mignon for Beta's. He also has an $18.00 water heater so he "doesn't get cold". Hopefully it functions correctly so we don't wake up to a filet-o-fish.
Basically, Gordon has it made in the shade.
Also, we are on Mr. Bombay's THIRD fish tank. The first one? Too small. The second? Unknown defect. The third... I think we have a winner. Thank goodness too, the people at Pet Smart are starting to know us on a first name basis - VIP! What can I say? We are memorable folks.
Currently, we are sitting in the living room. I am watching a movie on television, Ryan is watching the fish. I can't imagine the day we get a dog.
