Spring Cleaning

{This was my weekend in four, short, Instagram photographs. Exciting, huh!}

Has anyone gotten a Shellac manicure? What do you think? Is it worth the extra penny?
I'm only on day 8 and I am really doubting this whole "14-day no-chip mani" business.

***

This weekend consisted of a whole lot of nothing SPRING CLEANING!

The weather was beautiful, and for some reason, when it's nice outside... I am motivated to clean inside.

We managed to take a few late-afternoon strolls around the neighborhood, walk to a nearby bar for a burger, and make a few grocery store runs though, so don't worry... We got outside for at least a few hours.

*Side note*
 The moment Wisconsin gets 50+ degree weather, people are outside in shorts, t-shirts, and grilling out like it's the middle of July! {Not complaining at all!}

Here's what I did:

I gave the bathroom a complete scrub down, Pine Sol and ALL!
The dishes were washed and put away.
I swept. (That never happens!)
Vacuumed.
Dusted.
Organized.
Rearranged.
Cleaned the fish tank.
Did three loads of laundry.
AND
Made a delicious Sunday dinner (See my post for tomorrow!)

The only thing on my to-do list that didn't get done was go through / hang-up my clothes.
This is by far my least favorite chore.
I did, however, start the process and discovered a full bag of clothes from F21 that i'd forgotten that i'd bought. Merry Christmas to meeeeee!

A few more pictures from the past few days:

Have a wonderful week!

Your shellac is chipping? It's really not supposed to... Maybe they didn't cure it long enough?
You are sooo good! I need to start my spring cleaning!

A 21-day chip-free manicure? Where do I get one of those? I got a manicure with a giftcard at a place before I got married (yeah, it's been almost 2 years) and it chipped in the first DAY! One of my old roommates had to re-do them on my wedding day ; ) Sounds like a productive weekend! Congrats! YAY for finding new clothes you forgot about - I don't think that's ever happened to me, I always wear them right away. I love that picture, because I have that exact teapot (which I won from another awesome blogger) : )

I haven't had a shellac manicure yet but I've heard good things. I'm surprised yours is coming off already. You should go back and have them redo it since it's not staying on as long as it's supposed to!

I just discovered what a shellac mani is and I am interested. I heard it was good for 14 days though, still longer than regular nail polish.

I totally understand the feeling of it being 50 degrees and everyone dressing like it is July. It was like that when I lived in Michigan. Now living in California, I think its funny that 55 is cold for me.

I love Shellac! But don't try to chip the polish off or anything because it really effs up your nails :(

I spy an adorable teapot. (Is it wrong that I semi-collect them? I mean, not really, but I LOVE them!).

P.s. super cute caricature!!
