Who failed at taking pictures this past weekend?
This girl.
This girl.
I took two...
Friday we drove to Milwaukee in a tundra snow storm.
We counted over 10 cars that ended up in the ditch in our 1.5 hour drive! I would be lying if I said that I didn't have a kung-fu grip on the passenger side door handle while Ryan drove fearlessly through the storm.
Ryan's company hosted an awards ceremony there, hence the reason behind driving there in the crazy weather.
While he attended the shin-dig, I had a tasty [and CLASSY] lunch at Elsa's On The Park with my friend Jenny. This place was not exactly the place you should be wearing jeans to for an impromptu lunch. We're talking top-shelf booze, Mozart playing in the background, and English men talking money, technology, and their plans to conquer the world.
Me and my leggings fit riiiiight in.
This was followed by drinks at Flannery's - NOW we're talkin'! This was my kinda place! Laid back, a little Bee Gees playing in the background, and a rail whiskey and coke for under $4.00!
Afterwards, I joined Ryan for cocktails at O'Donnell Park, followed by spending the night *for free* at The Pfister Hotel... which by the way, I hear is haunted.
While people danced, I ate. I ate steak sliders, parmesan chicken, french fries, you name it. This was mostly a blur to me, I was so hungry that no one else really existed. I was tired, famished, and freezing.
The night ended at Blu. A bar / lounge on the 23rd floor of The Pfister Hotel. Again, another classy place, and if i'd KNOWN that this was as nice as it was, I would NOT have chosen the leggings/cardigan combo.
Feeling under-dressed is not my favorite.
I ended up ordering their Sauvignon Blanc "24" by Charles Woodson. Pretty sure I took 7 sips [tops] and my $24.00 glass of wine had vanished. Not worth it! Franzia may be tastier than that crappity-crap.
LEFT: {Ryan's co-worker Megan and I in Milwaukee. See how dressed up and cute she is?! I told you - I was so under-dressed!}
RIGHT: {"While the cats away, the mice will play!" - Saturday night; Kali and I at Claddagh Irish Pub in Madison. Our manly men were in Milwaukee for a guys night.}
Saturday, I got my bi-weekly manicure and went shopping. Forever 21 blewwwwww my mind!! I love all the bright colors and blazers and shorts and oh my, everything.
Back to the daily grind.
And, I have the sorest of sore throats. Body aches. A headache.
All the good stuff.
Praying this week goes by fast!
